The local police station in Oamaru, North Otago, New Zealand. The building is still in use with a modern addition on the right. And that is all I can tell you about it, we were passing through and stopped so I could take a quick photograph.

Diana, thanks for sharing you New Zealand treasure. The style and stonework would right at home in the mountains of New York State. Enjoy your week and please stop back again.
ReplyDeleteDarn those modern additions :). A beautiful stone building.
ReplyDeletebeautiful and interesting style!
ReplyDeleteHopefully it is very small because there is not much crime there. Great photo.
ReplyDeleteGreat architecture.
ReplyDeleteI think I've seen a photo of the courthouse. Is that a similar colour stonework? I love that colour and the architecture is lovely, too.
ReplyDeleteNo, the courthouse is in the white Oamaru stone, and very nice architecturally as well.
