Kinkaku-ji, Japan

Kinkaku-ji, Kyoto, Japan.
A Zen-Buddhist temple set in the middle
of a small lake in ornamental gardens.
Apart from the monks, the Emporer of Japan
is the only person who enters here, just once a year.
The temple is quite spectacular to see as it is covered in gold leaf.
We were lucky enough to visit the gardens in 2008 when we were in Japan.
