This church serves the people of The Taieri Plain in Otago, New Zealand.
It is a nice church with a small but vibrant community.
Unfortunately on the day I went up the church itself was closed
so I wasn't able to take any pictures inside.
Behind the church is a modern addition
consisting of office space and community rooms.
At the bottom of the hill is The Hub,
a youth centre also connected to the church.

It's beautiful
ReplyDeleteA very elegant building, sad that it was closed.
ReplyDeleteWhat an impressive church Diana. I would expect to see this in a city. Tom The Backroads Traveller
ReplyDeleteIt is semi rural Tom. The city is slowly creeping towards it. It is just out of Mosgiel which was once a borough in it's own right (not so long ago) and is now a city suburb.

This church has a special design - very nice. I was wondering what that cage was beside it. It makes me think that they just haven't put it on top yet.
ReplyDeleteThe architecture is stunning! And I love the pale blue door...it reflects the blue of the sky, with thoughts, perhaps of a heavenly reward.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful detail on this church. Such a lovely setting, too.

What a beautiful church. And, I have to say, I've never seen one with a blue door.
ReplyDeleteNow that looks a church I could spend an hour or two looking round
