Felling the fence

Our neighbours are felling their hedge which some people call a living fence.

First a very nice young man came along with a chain saw and felled about 30 foot of it.

He then fed it into the mulcher, causing a lot of fine sawdust to float over our fence covering our outdoor furniture in a fine film.

We still have to get to the finish line but this is how the living fence is looking today.

  2. Yes this hedge is about 6 years old - macracarpra which may be a type of conifer, I'll have to check. The neighbourhood kids had great times playing in it over the years.
